CD Review:
Grease is probably the best soundtrack of the last 30 years. When a movie comes out with a soundtrack that isn't just a compilation of various artists' music taken off their albums, it becomes an album on its own and this is one of the better ones. John Travolta showcases his music talent with Olivia Newton John as his counterpart. With other actual singers like Sha Na Na, Frankie Valli and Frankie Avalon, you hear non-singers like Stockard Channing. All the music is early rock & roll and doo-wop which aren't my most favourite styles of music. But overall I like it because it reminds me of the movie which I quite enjoyed as a youth.

CD Review:
This was my introduction to Aerosmith. It occurred around the time that Permanent Vacation was released. The only song that intrigued me, and even now I consider their only great song, was "Dream On." After having to tortuously experience listening to singles off of Permanent Vacation, Get a Grip and Pump which were the result of a resurgence in their popularity, I look at "Dream On" as the oasis in an otherwise desert of bad vocals by Steven Tyler.
