CD Review:
With the attention and success of Avoid Freud, Rough Trade released their second studio album For Those Who Think Young to much anticipation. The band continued with the sexuality they put forth on the previous album, but it didn't do as well. The singles released off this one were tamer, as the whole album is. It also became more apparent, after listening to the album, that "All Touch" and "The Sacred and the Profane," two of the more successful singles, were so much better than some of the other tracks, that it seemed that the album was more of a second thought.
Other than the two songs mentioned a highlight is the song "Blood Lust," an indulgent song of a woman who is sick of being sexually dominated so she decides to do the dominating instead.
For Those Who Think Young is not as bold as their first studio release and has some filler. But, the two singles mentioned earlier ("The Sacred and the Profane" and "All Touch") are essentials in Rough Trade's musical repertoire and therefore this album is not a waste.
