CD Review:
The highlight of this soundtrack is the four songs written by Diane Warren and sung by LeAnn Rimes, especially "But I Do Love You." That song is one of the best love songs that have been put out in the last 10 years.
LeAnn Rimes was a country singer before this soundtrack. This was the start of her move toward mainstream pop that her album I Need You solidified. The album actually put in songs from the soundtrack CD including the aforementioned song "I Do Love You."
Rimes seems to have the talent that will benefit her with the move if these four songs are any indication ("Can't Fight the Moonlight," "Please Remember," "The Right Kind of Wrong" and "I Do Love You").
Other artists who contribute include EMF ("Unbelievable"), Snap ("The Power"), Don Henley ("All She Wants To Do Is Dance"), INXS ("Need You Tonight") Charles Daniels Band ("Devil Went Down To Georgia") as well as others.
If you like LeAnn Rimes singing non-country tunes then this CD might be of interest, many of the other songs can be found originally on the artist's own albums so LeAnn would probably be the only enticement.
