CD Review:
This 4-song EP by Ottawa native Steve St. Pierre is a good start for the twenty-something. With a voice that begs for an intimate stage and a comfortable stool, St. Pierre compliments his singing with four down to earth soft spoken songs that calm you into semi-catatonia. Out of the four tracks, "Dorothy" is a highlight. After listening you come to the conclusion St. Pierre had a boyhood crush on The Wizard of Oz character as represented by crooner Judy Garland.

The EP is a good teaser but it doesn't give you enough to base an accurate judgment on St. Pierre's talent as an up-and-coming singer/songwriter. What it does give you is 17 minutes of mellow guitar driven music that foreshadows a positive future for the young man if the quality stays at the same level.

CD Review:
After the colossal success of Kissing to Be Clever, Culture Club released this, their second studio album. It sold better than their first. With hits like "Karma Chameleon," "Miss Me Blind" and "It's A Miracle," the band cemented themselves as the kings of pop-rock/new wave.

Boy George slowly began to delve more into drug addiction and after their third release Waking up the House on Fire, George began the dissension into a heroin hell and the band never recovered. Waking up the House on Fire and their 4th and last album From Luxury to Heartache, were disappointments. The band unraveled and was no more. Thank God, I said to myself. This band epitomizes everything the '80s music scene was about and is the perfect example of why the decade was the worse in music history.
