CD Review:
The Better Life is 3 Doors Down debut release. The band, consisting of Brad Arnold (vocals, drums), Matt Roberts (guitar) and Todd Harrell (bass) were signed out of Escatawpa, MS after they played at the New York club CBGB's and were heard by a Republic Records representative. For the album, the band added Chris Henderson (guitar) to their membership. The band made a big splash with two songs off this album, "Kryptonite" and "Loser." Even though artists and bands like Beck, Our Lady Peace, Jim Croce, Donovan, The Offspring and others have treaded over this familiar territory before 3 Doors Down, the two songs strike a strong theme that can be revisited without boredom.

CD Review:
Casey Comeau and the Halfmilers are based in Ottawa, although the Halfmilers (Patrick Shanks (bass), Richard Jeffrey (lead guitar), Tim Matthews (drums), and Darrell Angus (guitar, banjo, harmonica, voice)) are originally from Kingston. In early 2003 Casey and the band went into Little Bullhorn Studios to record Dancing Like Bones after signing with Music for Cats Records. The album is an old-school country release with Casey's voice captivating you ear. The songs cover a wide gambit of themes but they return to what is famous in country that is, heartbreak and tragedy.
