CD Review:
One of the great albums from the American new wave bands of the late '70s and '80s, The Cars tight roped that precarious line between being considered a bubblegum pop band and a serious rock and roll group. They had enough kick to get on rock radio and became a success for almost a decade.
Out of all their albums, this one is their best. The album spawned the classics "Good Times Roll," "My Best Friend's Girl" and "Just What I Needed" which propelled this album to the top of the charts and turned it into one of the greatest selling albums of the era.
Ric Ocasek (singer/lyricist) has a penchant for writing catchy lyrics, the band has the appearance of a British new wave band, and the music has a rock and roll kick, it was no wonder that so many, including myself, from different musical tastes enjoyed listening to the band.

CD Review:
This is an awesome box set from one of the most beautiful voices in music. EMI released this set in Canada, Japan and the UK but not in the US or AUS that I know of (although it's available as an import).
This is a great release for all Kate Bush fans that don't have much of her work because of difficulty in finding it or reluctance to move from LP or Casette to CD. If you are that person, then you now have an incentive. This is an 8 CD set that has Kate's six albums released by EMI plus two discs of 29 live, mixed or b-side rarities.
The six albums are: The Kick Inside, Lionheart, Never For Ever, The Dreaming, Hounds of Love, and The Sensual World. They named the two rarities CDs as The Woman's Work I and The Woman's Work II that probably deserve to be listed and reviewed on their own as they haven't been released before as the other six have.
The only drawback to the box set is the price. It hits the $150 dollar range here in Canada so it is an expensive purchase. If you can find all the individual albums on their own for under $20 then this may turn out to be an attraction for only the die-hard fan that want the two rarities CDs.
But overall, this set was a great issue for EMI as they kept the albums intact (in their own sleeves with the original cover art) and they give you the two extra CDs (also in their own sleeves with cover art) with a picture booklet. They didn't add lyrics to all the albums which is the only detraction.
