Blades of Glory (2007) --> If you like Will Ferrell's comedy, you'll like Blades of Glory. Better than Bewitched and Kicking and Screaming, on par with Talladega Nights but not as good as A Night at the Roxbury. Blades of Glory tells a story about two figure skaters (Will Ferrell and Jon Heder) whose rule breaking rivalry gets them banned from competing. When a coach points out that they can re-enter the sport through a technicality (becoming doubles pairs), they gain some funny and successful results.

Hot Fuzz (2007) --> If you liked Shaun of the Dead, you will love Hot Fuzz. The movie brings back director Edgar Wright, and actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Simon plays super cop Nicholas Angel and Frost takes up the side kick role for a second time. When Angel is shipped off to a small town (for outperforming every other cop on the London police force and therefore embarrassing them) he and Constable Butterman (Frost) stumble across a wave of mass murders camouflaged as a random series of accidents.

The Invisible (2007) --> David S. Goyer's The Invisible stars Justin Chatwin as high schooler Nick Powell, a boy who must race against time to save himself from imminent death. The problem is that he is an apparition walking the earth while his body is in a coma hidden away from the world by a group of teens who assaulted him. Think Ghost without the love story and Patrick Swayze trying to save his own life instead of his wife's. It doesn't work. You have no connection with Nick and therefore whether he lives or dies is of little importance to you.

The Apartment (1960) --> Lemmon and MacLaine are electric in this drama. Lemmon plays Bud a rank and file insurance man who allows his executive bosses to use his apartment to cheat on their wives. He does so because they promise he will be promoted when the time comes. Everything becomes extremely complicated when Fran Kubelik (MacLaine) enters the picture. MacLaine steals this movie and shows why she was one of the best actresses ever to appear in film. The film picked up the best picture Oscar and Billy Wilder won for best director.
