You, Me and Dupree (2006) --> If you have seen the Frank Oz film What About Bob (1991), you will see where this latest Owen Wilson flick got its inspiration. If you like Wilson's acting (he plays the same character over and over again) then You, Me and Dupree may be your cup of tea. But when you throw in a copy of a '90s movie along side Wilson's stock character isn't it a bit too much to swallow?

Mulholland Dr. (2001) --> What is real and what is not real? David Lynch's masterpiece Mulholland Dr. plays with this question never leaving the viewer totally satisfied with an answer. Starring Naomi Watts and Laura Harring, Mulholland Dr. both confuses and draws in the audience with sexuality and violence, suspense and intrigue. Even the timeline of the film is played with. If you first watched this film in the theatres you couldn't wait to rent it on DVD to have a second look. If you first saw it as a rental, then you watched it two or three times to try and figure it out. Either way, you were in for an enjoyable experience.

Monster's Ball (2001) --> A film of great depth that shows how even in the roughest circumstances, including a hell of one's own making, a person can endure. The role that gave Halle Berry the Oscar was one of the greats in leading female history (seeing her in the steamy sex scenes didn't turn off the Academy when voting). Marc Forster directs and makes a name for himself with this film. The film also stars Billy Bob Thorton as his typical mellow self.

Witness for the Prosecution (1957) --> One of the best courtroom dramas Witness for the Prosecution stars Charles Laughton, Tyrone Power, and Marlene Dietrich. Directed by Billy Wilder (Sunset Blvd., The Seven Year Itch, The Apartment. Some Like it Hot) the film has surprise after surprise and plot twists that only a clairvoyant could decipher. Based on an Agatha Christie short story, the movie was bound to be entertaining and Wilder doesn't disappoint. Dietrich plays one of her best roles to boot.
