Jimmy Carr - Stand Up (2005)
Jimmy Carr - Stand Up (2005) --> Best known on this side of the pond as the nasty host of the hit game show Distraction, Carr is one of th UK's best comedians of the new millennium. Stand Up is Carr's second live performance released on DVD (the first being: Jimmy Carr - Live). If you like the intelligent sarcasm, sharp wit, and insulting banter Carr displays on his TV show, you will be blown away when the restrictions in language and content is removed for this show. Recorded live at London's Bloomsbury Theatre, Carr is at his best even though a few references will be lost on non-British listeners.

The Perfect Man (2005)
The Perfect Man (2005) --> Starring Hillary Duff, The Perfect Man is a fluff piece to get all the teens into the theatres to see their favourite pop icon up on the big screen. The movie tells us about the life of Holly Hamilton (Duff) and her misadventures in trying to find her mother (played by Heather Locklear) the perfect man. It is a predictable and boring film that needs you to leave your brain at the theatre door in order for you to get through it.

11'09''01 - September 11 (2002)
11'09''01 - September 11 (2002) --> Take eleven filmakers from eleven different countries and give them 11 minutes and 9 seconds to tell a story where the centre is the events of 9/11 and you have a gimmick of major proportions. Until you watch the film of course. Some of the stories are dry but others have impact. Highlights include a conversation between an American soldier (killed in the Beruit bombing) and an Egyptian film maker, Ken Loach's diatribe on Chile, and Alejandro González Inarritu's segment showing people jumping from the towers.

Africa Screams (1949)
Africa Screams (1949) --> Abbott & Costello had been making movies together for almost a decade by the time Africa Screams made the theatres. In fact this film would be their 25th movie together. The comedy team play clerks in a bookstore who weasel their way to Africa with a treasure-hunting team in search of diamonds. Afrixa Screams has all the mad cap humour you come to expect from an Abbott & Costello flick. You will see run-ins with lions, crocodiles and local natives all trying to eat or kill them.
