Two for the Money (2005)
Two for the Money (2005) --> An interesting but average movie that delves into the world of sports betting. The movie stars Al Pacino as Walter Abrams, a high-strung ex-gambling heart disease sufferer who owns one of the most successful sports-gambling advice businesses in the country, and Matthew McConaughey as Brandon Lang, a former college football star who enters the business after a career ending knee injury. It was interesting to watch Pacino work his magic on screen but it wasn't enough to pull the movie out of its mediocrity. The subject matter is just not very interesting and to try to make it as dramatic as possible seems both fake and a bit insulting. Saying that, the scenes where Pacino and his crew watch the games unfold having millions of dollars riding on the outcomes was exciting as you got a feel for what it would be like if you were gambling these sums of money, but overall the movie does not leave a lasting impression.

The Man with the Screaming Brain (2005)
The Man with the Screaming Brain (2005) --> Most famous for his collaborations (and friendship) with great American director Sam Raimi, especially acting as Ashley 'Ash' J. Williams in the Evil Dead trilogy, Bruce Campbell uses some of that magic to create a movie that is can be best described as All of Me meets Young Frankenstein. Campbell directs, writes (with David M. Goodman) and stars in this humorous story about an American businessman who is murdered and then brought back to life with the brains of a cab driver to keep him company. If you are a fan of Campbell, you will enjoy this film. If not, you will probably blow it off as pretentious an overbearing. Of course if you did, you would be correct, as that is Campbell's charm.

Unstoppable (2004)
Unstoppable (2004) --> Wesley Snipes stars as Dean Cage, a Section 8 throw away from a CIA Black Ops program in Bosnia. When he is mistaken for a contact of the CIA by a criminal organization that plan to sell a stolen hallucinogenic drug on the black market, he is targeted. He must fight through being drugged by the criminals, stopping them from selling the drug, and finding the antidote before its lethal properties kill him, all in less than 8 hours. Snipes has only done one great action movie, Blade, and its first sequel, which makes Unstoppable join all his other action movies from 1992 onward as bland and forgettable.

Sky High (2005)
Sky High (2005) --> From the director of Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999) and Surviving Christmas (2004) comes Disney's live action foray into the superhero movie. To put it bluntly, Disney is about 10 years behind the times in some of the costumes they decided to use for this film. Best shown in the costume of Royal Pain, she looks like she would be more comfortable in a Power Rangers episode than a 2005 superhero flick, Sky High fails as does most of the films of this genre. The movie itself tells the story of Will Stronghold, the son of two superheroes, as he enters high school. As his parents are the greatest heroes on the planet, much is expected from him. But he doesn't have any super powers. When he finally develops them, he is moved from second class status (as a side kick) to the hero training classes. When his new girlfriend turns out to be an evil adversary of his family, he must save the school and the world from her domination. With the help of his lowly side kick friends he succeeds. This is a feel good movie that glosses over issues such as school status and parent expectations of children. But it is a Disney movie so what would you expect.
