The small sole proprietorship comprising a 2,000 square foot club that David Patchell-Evans started in 1979 with the then unique idea of educated service and high quality standards, has grown into the largest group of fitness clubs in Canada. The first in the fitness industry to successfully introduce franchising, GoodLife now has 86 clubs, occupying 1.5 million square feet of space.
GoodLife currently employs 2,500 associates and has more than 200,000 members. Guided by a long-term approach to the business GoodLife prides itself on offering reasonably priced memberships with a high level of service, the best in equipment, facilities and personnel. Most of all, the emphasis is on people.
