The Spring Sun

Walking around downtown was a pleasant experience this week. Not because there was less traffic congestion or the sidewalks were filled more with empty space than hurried workers on an afternoon lunch break, but because the sun was in the sky and its heat could be felt on the face. Yes, when that occurs it’s time to celebrate because winter is finally ending. The snow will be melting and the leaves will be returning bringing a whole new positive feel to the world. With the immense amount of snow fall this winter, it will be a much needed improvement.

John Rambo Movie Review

John Rambo (2008) -->Stallone brings it up a level for the fourth film of the First Blood franchise. More blood, severed limbs, explosions, and brutality than the previous three films, John Rambo is a successful action movie even if Stallone is in his later years. With last year's Rocky film and this year's Rambo film, Stallone has shown he is the exception when bringing an old man into a role best fit for someone in their twenties or thirties.

CD Review:
While You Were Sleeping is Halifax based rapper Classified's first compilation disc. Containing 20 tracks from his previous releases and two new songs plus a bonus DVD, it is a perfect introduction to those who have been ignorant of his shit. Except for Buck 65, Classified is the best the east coast has to offer. Not that guys like Jay Bizzy, J-Bru and Spesh K (all of which he has worked with) aren't talented (they are), it's just that Classified has now reached the point where he's at the peak of his career; listening to While You Were Sleeping proves it.

The album has output from as far back as 1995 and not only do you hear the improvement in production and lyrical prowess, you also hear his voice deepen from an inexperienced teen to a confident man (pot smoking probably helped). If he is to explode, this will be the time for it to happen as his shit is the tightest it will probably ever be. Read Full Review
