Songs For Your Ipod: The List

Songs For Your iPod: See The List

Since the portable mp3 player has become a mainstream item (with the Ipod being the most popular) we decided here at Full Spectrum to start off all the buyers of this technological marvel on the right foot.

You spent your hard earned cash and now are transferring your music onto the device. But you realize after finishing loading your favourite songs you have a library of perhaps 50 tracks and now you have run out of steam. You sit by your computer trying desperately to remember songs from the past you liked just to fill up space on the storage drive. But even after you do so, you still have this large chunk of unused room mocking your lack of memory or musical knowledge.

Perhaps you will fill it with pictures or videos but it is more likely you spent hundreds of dollars to get a great selection of music on your player not photos of the family pet or a video better watched on a large television.

So what are you to do? This is where Full Spectrum comes in. We have researched the history of music, scoured the bins at record shops around the country, read all the pertinent lists and listened to a ton of music to bring you what we think are the best songs that should be permanent additions to your Ipod catalogue.

Just to make it even more difficult we restricted our criteria to one song from one band only. It would be easy to hit 1000 songs if you download the singles of bands like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Doors, and others. We thought that if you liked one song from a band we suggest, you can easily search out and download the rest of their catalogue without our help. You are becoming a music connoisseur are you not?

We also refused to cop out like other lists and just list the songs. We will tell you what year they came out, what album they were off of, what their running time is, and most importantly, why we chose the song.

We will be putting up the list in groups of ten. When the list reaches 100 we will link a page from the top that has the selections in alphabetical order for easy retrieval. So without further ado here are, in no particular order of greatness, the first ten.
