She won a National Aboriginal Achievement Award (2001).
She won a bronze medal at the FINA World Championships (2001).
Horn-Miller first came to prominence at the Oka crisis in 1990 when she was stabbed by a Canadian soldier. But what brought her to our attention was when she posed nude on the cover of Time magazine in 2000. The photo was stunning and brought prominence to Canada's Olympic hopefuls. Horn-Miller is Mohawk and proud of her heritage. She is not shy to speak out on issues and what can be sexier than that?
