About Fullspectrumottawa.com
Ottawa Entertainment Guide
Aren't you tired of having a favorites list that is longer than your arm? In order to find out what is happening in this great city of ours, you need a 100 web addresses you can access. How tiresome and time consuming is that? Why must you point your browser at 15-20 different websites just to see what is happening at clubs throughout the city? Or, why search out 10-15 websites to see what bands are playing in the city's live venues. Then what about film? Or theatre? Or exhibitions? Or food specials at the local restaurants? Sporting Events? How about what is going on at all the Festivals that our city is famous for hosting? It is enough to throw your keyboard in the garbage with all the typing and searching you are forced to do. You will slowly see your favorites menu grow uncontrollably until it becomes longer than your computer screen!
This is where Full Spectrum comes in. We are the place to visit on the web to see what is going on in this great city of ours. We have broken up our site into four categories. If you look above you will see the four headings. Ottawa Athletics is the first section. Here you will be able to access information on things like hockey, football, soccer, baseball, bungee jumping, yoga, dance and so on. With each entry you will see a description of the location and what is the next event that will occur there. The second entry is Ottawa Entertainment. Here you can access all the listing for the clubs, bars, pubs, lounges, venues and the arts. Live bands and theatrical performances, movies, art and photographic exhibitions are all here for the viewing. The third section is Ottawa Dining, and as it would indicate, you will see all our local food locations and their specials.
The fourth section, Exposure Online Magazine™, is our webzine. It is your place to read articles on events, bands, cultural locations and other happenings in the city. We review local bands and their CDs. We give you recommendations on books, music, and film. We interview the people behind the scenes who bring you all these events and why they do it. We also open up your eyes with opinion pieces, thought provoking and humourous articles on what we find interesting about our city, and anything else we decide is worth your discretionary eye. Occasionally, we even go out of city for events of interest in other locations we think you would like to read about.
To the right of Exposure Online Magazine™ you will see the Contact Us button. If you want us to help you bring your event to the eyes of our visitors, or you wish to give us some flack or congratulations for all our hard work, this is the place to go. Let us know what you think. Give us a piece of your mind. Help us continue providing a quality website for Ottawa's citizens who are interested in knowing what is happening around Canada's capital by letting us be the place on the web to promote all your upcoming events.
To the far right is our Community Forum. Come on in and sign up. Have you seen a local event and want to tell everyone how it was? Do you want to let everyone know about a great band that deserves more attention? Maybe you just wish to talk with buds. If you have a specific interest or hobby that is culturally related, perhaps a love of yoga or skateboarding, plays or movies, new age healing or cooking, whatever your interest, the forum can be set up to provide you with an online community to discuss those interests. All we need is a suggestion and a visitor frequency that will give it sustainability over time.
Finally, a word on our front page, it is broken up into easily discernable sections. The "Search" box allows you to search upcoming events by keyword or date. Punch in an upcoming date to see what is happening on that day or type in a word (such as "live") to see what live bands or shows are occurring now and in the near future. "Overdose" is our way of giving particular attention to certain happenings in the city. "Open Shutter" is the place to view and submit photographs. "Sound Advice" gives you CD reviews of local and international artists. And of particular interest is "Blowing Up the Spot." This section gives you a quick way to see all the events that are happening on that day.
Enjoy the site. We at Full Spectrum will do our best to provide you with the relevant information to choose what to do each and every day and to provide our sponsors a place on the web to show you that information.
